Sarah Huckabee Isn't Normal, She's Crazy

Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee continues to be one of our country’s most dangerous liars.
Do we truly need lectures from another red state bottom-dweller like her on what is best for America?
The results are in. Arkansas along with Louisiana, Texas, West Virginia, South Carolina and all of those other bastions of Republican rot rank the lowest when it comes to life expectancy, literacy and health.
When Republicans like Huckabee control a state, gun deaths go up and good jobs disappear. If you live in a red state like Arkansas you’re more likely to commit suicide or end up addicted to drugs.
Her Republican policies on everything from abortion to taxes reek of failure. That’s why red state politicians only win by magically keeping people from voting and keeping those who do vote collectively uninformed.
Last month, Governor Huckabee delivered the Republican Party’s official response to Joe Biden’s State of the Union where she said the difference between Republicans and Democrats is “normal versus crazy.”
Yeah. Sarah Huckabee is normal as in, “When your father teaches you all the wrong lessons from the Bible, this is NORMALLY how you turn out.”
Normal. It’s absolutely normal to work in the White House lying for a serial rapist, like Donald Trump, and call yourself a devout Christian. Yeah. Perfectly normal. Not crazy. Normal.
This week, Huckabee signed into law a bill making it easier for slaughterhouses and construction firms to hire workers under the age of sixteen. How is it remotely “normal” making children support their family instead of doing their homework, reading, playing sports and generally goofing off?
Apparently, when Republicans promise to watch over our children, they’re talking about the shop foremen at Amazon making sure Little Bobby isn’t taking one too many pee breaks.
Huckabee is also about to sign into law a bill that will charge transgender people with sexual indecency if they use the wrong restroom.
Welcome to the Republican Party, where bathrooms are more dangerous for kids than slaughterhouses.
None of this benefits the children of Arkansas who are falling behind the rest of America.
Arkansas has some of the highest illiteracy rates and lowest number of college graduates in America.
Huckabee’s Arkansas is a disaster.
It ranks among the bottom when it comes to life expectancy. It ranks among the highest when it comes to infant mortality, homicides, gun deaths, single moms, teen pregnancies and divorce.
You have to be crazy to think that things in Arkansas are normal.
Number three in heart disease.
Number six in cancer.
Number three in diabetes.
Number five in people dying from the flu.
Arkansas compared to the rest of America isn’t normal. It’s behind the curve. The rest of America is doing much better than Arkansas. Sarah Huckabee has nothing to teach us.
Next time Huckabee tells voters that picking Democrats or Republicans is a choice between “normal and crazy” she should be honest about who the crazy ones are.
